On August 7, the Coinbase team announced that Ethereum Classic (ETC) will be launched on Coinbase Pro with three trading pairs available – ETC/USD, ETC/BTC and ETC/EUR.
“We will be launching ETC support first on our exchanges, and then at Coinbase.com”, – wrote the team.
On August 15, the Coinbase team announced that starting at 5pm PT August 16, Coinbase Consumer customers will be able to buy, sell, store and use Ethereum Classic (ETC) on Coinbase.com and through the mobile app.
“ETC will be available to customers in every country where Coinbase Consumer is available. We’re thrilled to offer ETC to all of our customers and will continue working to add more assets to Coinbase.”
According to CoinMarketCap, ETC is trading at $13,83 (14,75% in a 24-hour period) at press time.
