Zilliqa (ZIL) will launch testnet v3 this month, mainnet launch expected in January 2019

Zilliqa (ZIL) is a new blockchain platform that is designed to scale in an open, permission-less distributed network securely. The core feature that makes Zilliqa scalable is sharding — dividing the network into several smaller component networks (called shards) capable of processing transactions in parallel.

On November 8, the Zilliqa team reported an update on the Zilliqa Mainnet progress via Twitter.

According to provided information, testnet v3 will be open to external miners at the end of November 2018 and mainnet release expected in January 2019. Token swap is planned for Q1-Q2 2019.

At this point, Zilliqa has completed the implementation of features for the first version of mainnet. Integration of these features and testing are ongoing. Additionally, Zilliqa completed 2 security audits. There are 2 more ongoing audits including one comprehensive audit with a top-tier security audit firm. Bugcrowd bounty program will start on November 15.

On November 8, Upbit Singapore exchange added ZIL/BTC trading pair.

In addition, Zilliqa (ZIL) is available on Bittrex International exchange since its launch along with Pundi X (NPXS) and Mossland (MOC).
