Hamburg develops “The Future of Social Economics”

The international BLOCKCHANCE Conference 2019 will take place at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce on 16 and 17 August ’19. Under the title “The Future of Social Economics” the conference with up to 750 participants from technology, economy, science, politics and media will deal with the economic and social opportunities of the database technology Blockchain.

Commercial capital on its way becoming a blockchain metropolis

The First Mayor of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg, Dr. Peter Tschentscher, has assumed patronage of the BLOCKCHANCE Conference 2019. Peter Tschentscher emphasizes the special importance of the conference for the development of the economic metropolis in the 21st century: “The Blockchance Conference 2019 in the Chamber of Commerce brings the international blockchain industry to Hamburg. I am delighted to be opening the event as patron in order to present our Hanseatic city to the world as a digital and innovation location”. One of the key topics of the BLOCKCHANCE Conference 2019 will be security through the use of decentralised, globally networked database technology in IT and telecommunications, law and politics, trade, logistics and finance. On the user side, the possibilities in digitally networked communication, in contract management, in supply chains and in accounting are among the top topics of the two-day top event with keynotes, presentations, discussions, workshops and creative sessions.

Blockchain 2019: Technology, Economy and Sustainability

In addition to technological possibilities, special attention is paid to social developments. Blockchain technology raises the digital possibilities of information, communication and marketing to the next level of trustworthy cooperation between individuals and organisations. The BLOCKCHANCE Conference 2019 will discuss societal change through digital-based trust management.

Fabian Friedrich, initiator and organizer of the BLOCKCHANCE Conference and board member of the International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications (INATBA) in Brussels, sums it up as follows: “The time is ripe: The use of blockchain technology for trusting cooperation in the digitally networked world is the next big step. The BLOCKCHANCE Conference attaches particular importance to the open participation of partners from technology and science, business and politics, media and society in setting up the international event platform. The participating experts and representatives come from countries such as Germany, France, Luxembourg and the Netherlands as well as globally from China, Dubai and the United States of America.

Among the confirmed experts of the network platform are representatives of the United Nations (UN) and the Club of Rome on an international level, the European Commission and the International Association for Trusted Blockchain Applications on a European level. At the national level, representatives of the Blockchain Federal Association (“Bundesblock”) and the Hanseatic Blockchain Institute (HBI), the Hamburg Parliament and the Hamburg Senate are among the guests in 2019.
