Many residents of Papua New Guinea still do not use banks, which limits their economic opportunities. Blockchain technology can be used to solve some financial problems.
It is reported that Abt Associates will participate in this initiative in the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Central Bank of Papua New Guinea.
“Blockchain has the potential to meet many challenges,” said Dr. Jane Thomason, CEO of Abt Australia. “Imagine a world in which the poor can have a personality that gives access to services and financial integration through the use of blockchain technology. He has tremendous opportunities to transform how we view the problems of poverty and health. ”
