‘Bridge the Block Korea Day’ unites founders and industry leaders for an exclusive full-day event, providing the space for South Korean founders and developers to engage with international investors and partners during KBW on September 22nd, 2025
DFG, the global blockchain and cryptocurrency investment firm, is partnering with Jsquare to host a one-day summit at this year’s Korean Blockchain Week (KBW) in Seoul, sponsored by ZAN, O.neul E&M, Peanut Trade, Echobit, Nubila, Prismacloud, Tevau, and BTSE. The event serves as a platform to showcase Korea’s Web3 growth, while bringing together thought leaders and developers to connect, exchange ideas, and explore advancements in areas such as AI, DeFi, infrastructure, RWA, and NFT.
In recent years, DFG and Jsquare have supported several early-stage projects that went on to achieve major milestones, many securing listings on global exchanges, reaching billion-dollar market capitalizations, and even becoming publicly traded. While South Korea has proven itself as a crypto powerhouse through growing institutional interest and blockchain adoption, many Korean startups still lack international exposure, challenging their ability to scale. At this one-day event, the investment firms aim to connect Korean projects with global investors and partners, building a path for some of Korea’s most promising ventures to expand regionally and internationally.
Throughout the daylong event, attendees will gain insights from a lineup of speakers during panel discussions and keynote speeches. Topics will range from the emergence of crypto AI agents to a comparative look into DeFi in Asia versus the West. Speakers include Joanna Ling, Founding Partner of Jsquare; James Wo, Founder and CEO of DFG; Ricky Yang, Solution Architect at ZAN, Lee Seunghun, Director Hong-Kwan Lee, CEO of O.neul E&M; Anastasiia Lorenzen, Partnerships & Venture Lead at Peanut Trade; Jeon Hyewon, Business Director at Echobit; Toby Skinner, Co-Founder of Nubila, Ben Fielding, Co-founder & CEO of Gensyn; Alex Kim, Head of US BD at Zetachain; Filip, Co-founder and CEO of Cookie3 and Core contributor of Cookie DAO, Shukyee Ma, CSO of Plume Network; Zerobit, CEO of Talisman; Sophia Li, COO of GOAT Network, along with other distinguished guests.
In addition to networking and in-depth discussions, the program will also feature a venture pitch session with co-host AKINDO and event partner 0g. A curated list of early-stage Web3 teams will have the opportunity to present their ideas to leading venture funds, angel investors, and ecosystem backers who are actively exploring opportunities in South Korea and across Asia, with prizes sponsored by CoinMarketCap Labs and ChainGPT AI Hub offered to the top three teams.
The gathering will be held at The Seouliteum in Seongsu-dong from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with registration pending approval from the host.
“While the South Korean crypto scene has gained significant traction in recent years, projects continue to face challenges, including localized market complexities, language and cultural barriers, as well as difficulties reaching global markets,” says James Wo, Founder and CEO of DFG. “This event presents a rare opportunity for founders, developers, and thought leaders to engage in meaningful discussions about the future of South Korea’s blockchain ecosystem, further strengthening cross-border collaborations. Events such as these are crucial for accelerating growth across the blockchain ecosystem, and we’re proud to contribute to building a more integrated and resilient Web3 future.”
