The IVS KYOTO Executive Committee (Headline Japan/IVC, Kyoto Prefecture, Kyoto City) will hold one of the largest crypto conferences in Japan, “IVS Crypto 2024 KYOTO with Japan Blockchain Week Summit”, from Thursday, July 4 to Saturday, July 6, 2024, with Kyoto Pulse Plaza as the main venue. We are pleased to announce the first contents of this event.
Last year’s IVS Crypto was the largest crypto event in Japan, offering a multifaceted experience throughout Kyoto with more than 10,500 attendees, 300 speakers, and 150 side events under the theme “What’s your new adventures?” Following last year’s success, “IVS Crypto 2024 KYOTO with Japan Blockchain Week Summit” will be held under the theme “Cross the Boundaries” this year. We focus on the evolution and application of blockchain technology and explore the future of Web 3.0 through games, entertainment, AI, and more. In addition, leaders from Japan and overseas will share their newest insights with all. This event will kick off Japan Blockchain Week 2024 in July and will be held simultaneously with the Japan Blockchain Week Summit. This year’s program will be even more comprehensive, bringing together pioneers in the blockchain industry.
Other events that are related to Japan Blockchain Week 2024 also will be held all over Japan and the total number of attendees is supposed to be over 50,000.

In addition to the stages and the booths of cutting-edge blockchain companies, there will be several special areas, each of which will let visitors experience the Web 3.0 world from a different angle. The Web3 Entertainment Zone (run by SHAKE Entertainment / YGG Japan) will attempt to shift traditional content such as online games, anime, and manga to Web3. Here, you can learn about the latest trends and technologies through panel discussions with industry leaders, including sessions on new developments in e-sports using NFT and the transition from Web2 to Web3.
At Crypto Village powered by MURA (run by Shinsekai Technologies), exchange events based on various themes are held at different times of the day, providing a dynamic environment for interaction. This is a space for new encounters, where the future of the industry is shaped, and where craft cola OFF COLA is offered, another unique feature of this area.
As the first physical NFT gallery in Japan, Nox Gallery KYOTO will exhibit works by top artists from around the world. Through an exhibition of art that transcends the boundaries between the digital and the physical, visitors can explore the possibilities of NFT and new forms of art.
3rd Floor: Discover the projects that will drive the future of Web 3.0.
Inamori Hall on the third floor will function as an event space dedicated to Web 3.0 on Friday, July 5. Here, innovative projects and ideas will come together, providing a space to match creators and developers at the forefront.
In the morning’s “AI x Web3 Animation Contest,” young creators will compete in a short animation created using AI technology and the Unreal Engine. The winning entries will be commercialized by Puri Prince and SHAKE Entertainment and will be adapted into animation, comics, and games. These works are created using the AI-based model/anime production tools made by Animechain.ai, and the AI model information, IP, and licenses will be managed on the blockchain. Prizes will be awarded for outstanding works to further support creators’ activities.
In the afternoon event, “WaveHack Global Demo Day,” participants will present their ongoing projects. This demo day will serve as the first presentation of the “WaveHack Global” program, and teams that receive high ratings will be offered the opportunity to pitch. Projects that receive outstanding evaluations will be given the opportunity for further presentations at EDCON and WebX in the future. The program will ultimately provide grants totaling $500,000 from 30 projects, with the goal of commercializing and disseminating innovative Web3 technologies.
2nd and 5th Floors: Explore funding and strategic alliances for Web 3.0 projects.
The second and fifth floors of IVS Crypto offer business pass-only areas and are important hubs for business professionals to maximize investment and partnership opportunities.
The second floor features an “Elevator Pitch Area” and ” VC Meeting Lounge”. The Elevator Pitch Area is staffed by many venture capitalists and provides an environment where participants can directly pitch to VCs and discuss investment opportunities. Meanwhile, the VC Meeting Lounge is where important meetings with business alliances and key partners are held and provides a private space to explore strategic alliances.
The Executive Lounge on the 5th floor is an exclusive space for Executive and Investor pass holders. This space allows opportunities for networking and 1-on-1s with other executives and investors over snacks and drinks in the Observation Deck Salon. It is an ideal place for business discussions in a quiet and relaxed environment and serves as an area dedicated to the conclusion of important partnerships. Other sessions which only Executive or Investor pass holders can attend will be held as well.

Starting in 2024, “Non Fungible Tokyo,” which began in 2018, will be held under its new name
“Japan Blockchain Week Summit (JBW Summit)” and will run for two days within IVS Crypto 2024 KYOTO. JBW Summit is co-hosted by JapanBlockchainWeek, a general incorporated association, and N.Avenue, which operates CoinDesk JAPAN, and is positioned as the main conference of Japan Blockchain Week 2024.
Japan Blockchain Week 2024, New Events Confirmed
“IVS Crypto 2024 KYOTO with Japan Blockchain Week Summit” will be held as a kick-off event from July 4 to 31, 2024, starting off a series of various events for Japan Blockchain Week. On July 16, Ginco Inc. will host “Web3 Future 2024,” and “DCENTRAL Tokyo 2024” will be held from July 17th to 19th, and on July 24, B Dash Ventures and Hashed will host “Blockchain Leaders Summit Tokyo 2024.” In addition, De University of Ethereum will host “EDCON TOKYO 2024” from July 26 to 30. IVS Crypto/JBW Summit attendees will also receive a ticket with special perks to “EDCON 2024,” which will be held July 26-30. Japan Blockchain Week will conclude with an after-party in Tokyo on July 31.
