Aliexpress users will be able to pay for goods using the Floki meme token

On May 31, representatives of the Floki project reported that users of the Aliexpress marketplace can buy goods using a meme token.

The asset has been added to the platform Shopping.io , which allows to place orders on various marketplaces with payment in cryptocurrencies. “Buy goods from more than 100 million items and enjoy delivery to more than 200 countries,” the developers wrote on Twitter.

What is Floki?

This is an ERC-20 standard token based on the Ethereum blockchain. The developers created it in 2021 by analogy with the already popular at that time meme coins DOGE and SHIB after Elon Musk’s statement that he wanted to get a dog of the Shiba Inu breed and give it the name Floki. The market capitalization of asset as of June 1 is $ 314.42 million, it occupies the 105th line in the overall rating of cryptocurrencies and trades at $0.00003158, having lost 0.9% per day.

On May 28, Floki trading volumes reached the maximum value in three weeks, and the asset rate increased by more than 10%. The developers recorded an increase in interest in the project from China users after advertising their metaverse Valhalla appeared at local sports tournaments.

On February 15, FLOKI jumped 40% in a day after Musk posted a photo of his dog Floki in the image of the CEO of Twitter.

At the end of last year, American Air and Air Canada airlines began accepting SHIB for payment, and in January, Musk once again called on McDonald’s to accept payments in Dogecoin. Later, representatives of the British Burger King also stated that they would like to introduce the possibility of payment in DOGE coins.
