On September 27, a crypto exchange Coinbase started to roll out a series of updates that “simplify every step of the journey to owning your first cryptocurrencies”:
- Coinbase Bundle: A market-weighted selection of the five cryptocurrencies available to buy and sell on Coinbase. Users can buy a bundle of 5 cryptocurrencies for as little as $25.
- Informational Asset Pages: Asset pages to learn about the top 50 cryptocurrencies (by market cap) — including many that are not currently available to buy or sell on Coinbase.
- Coinbase Learn: A new section of the Coinbase website to educate people who are new to cryptocurrency, answering some of their basic questions.
In addition, on September 28, Zeeshan Feroz, CEO (UK) at Coinbase, announced that all UK customers now have the ability to buy and sell using using GBP on Coinbase, Coinbase Pro and Coinbase Prime.
Domestic GBP payments, in most cases, will take less than 30 minutes to transfer in and out of your account.
“You’ll not only benefit from increased speed but reduced costs as well. By no longer having to convert funds from British Pound to Euros and vice versa, you’ll avoid exchange rates and additional fees for foreign currency transactions”, – writes Zeeshan Feroz.
