According to investment company Rockway study, Europe ranks first in the world in terms of the number of registered cryptocurrency startups.
There are 3,977 crypto firms based in Europe. There are 3,357 organizations in the United States, which ranks second in this indicator, and approximately 1,590 companies operating in the digital asset industry are located in Asia.
Despite the bearish trend that raged in the virtual currency market in 2022, venture funds invested $ 31.4 billion in cryptocurrency firms, which is only 4% less than the figure recorded in 2021. American funds invested the most in startups – $17.1 billion, European – $ 5.7 billion.
Judging by the amount of investment in crypto companies, London turned out to be a European cryptocurrency center. Firms that are registered in the UK capital have attracted financing for the largest amount of $ 1.6 billion. The second place in this indicator was taken by organizations from Zurich, which received $ 1 billion. The top three were closed by Berlin firms, in which $ 541 million was invested.
