The Hedera Global Governing Council, responsible for steering the Hedera network, has given the nod to allocate approximately $408 million worth of Hedera’s native token, HBAR ($0.08), to fuel further development initiatives and enhance decentralized governance.
In a recent blog post, the council outlined the strategic distribution of the funds, with the majority—4.248 billion HBAR—earmarked for ongoing projects. This includes substantial support for key entities such as the HBAR Foundation, the Hashgraph Association, and the DLT Science Foundation, signaling a commitment to fortify existing initiatives and foster continued growth within the Hedera ecosystem.
