On November 7, a crypto exchange Kraken announced the support for Bitcoin and QTUM Bech32 withdrawal addresses. Addresses begin with ‘bc1’ and ‘qc1’, respectively.
The announcement reads that support for Bech32 deposit addresses will be coming shortly.
The Bech32 format corresponds to addresses that support sending transactions using Segregated Witness (SegWit) technology.
Earlier today, Coinstelegram reported that according to research conducted by the Moscow-based firm Group-IB in partnership with crypto asset insurance platform CryptoIns, the Kraken platform is the safest crypto exchange.
