MetaMask is a browser extension which also includes a secure identity vault, providing a user interface to manage a person identities on different sites and sign blockchain transactions. It allows to run Ethereum dApps right in the browser without running a full Ethereum node.
According to the tweet of the Ethereum co-founder Joseph Lubin, the MetaMask mobile app was announced at Ethereum’s annual developer conference Devcon4.
“Everyone’s favorite Ethereum browser extension is coming to your phone. The team is focusing on not being ‘just a wallet’, but a portal to the world of all things”, – writes Lubin.
