Tether Buys 8,888 Bitcoin Worth Around $1 Billion in Q3 2025

Stablecoin giant Tether, the issuer of USDT, has expanded its Bitcoin holdings by acquiring 8,888 BTC in the third quarter of 2025. The purchase, valued at nearly $1 billion, highlights the company’s ongoing strategy of allocating part of its profits to Bitcoin as a reserve asset.

With this latest acquisition, Tether’s total Bitcoin stash now exceeds 92,000 BTC, placing it among the largest institutional holders of the cryptocurrency.
