Paris Blockchain Week proudly announces keynote French Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, at PBWS, 20-24 March 2023

Paris, December 12th – Paris Blockchain Week, the leading international conference dedicated to professionals in the blockchain and Web3 space, is excited to announce that the French Minister of Digital Transition and Telecommunications, Mr Jean-Noël Barrot, will deliver a speech at PBWS, 20-24 March 2023.

H.E. Mr Barrot, who is an economist, is the French Minister for Digital Transition and Telecommunications. Prior to joining the government, Barrot represented the 2nd constituency of the Yvelines department in the National Assembly from 2017 to 2022 where he also held the position of Vice-Chairman of the Finance Committee of the National Assembly.

Earlier, during the Binance Blockchain Week at the Palais des Congrès de Paris in September 2022, Minister Barrot talked about the significant role the French government has played in the upcoming MiCA regulation.

Minister Barrot then said, “The transition from Web2 to Web3 will unleash lots of opportunities for sharing, collaboration, and creativity in general. That’s why the French government and President Macron strongly support the Web3 ecosystem”.

Minister Jean-Noël Barrot belongs to the Mouvement Démocrate (MoDem) where he served as national spokesperson (2018), then as secretary general (2018-2022) and finally as vice president (since July 2022). Born on May 13, 1983, in Paris, he is a laureate of the French-American Foundation’s “Young Leaders” program (class of 2020). His work has been published in leading international medias such as the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics and Management Science.
